Heating Snow is a looping short film series that translates AI generated imagery into the physical world through thermal paper. In this work, artist Song Lu explores the quiet degradation of digital media. Within a generated snowy landscape, the presence of the hand acts as an interface, guiding shifting forms and micro gestures. Because thermal paper inherently fades over time, the work captures the simultaneous creation and disappearance of the image. Rather than emphasizing algorithmic production, the series observes the natural dissipation of these frames as they gradually return to a blank physical state.
